Severen wrote:It wasn't bad. Contrary to the general consensus, I liked the format of the first one better. I like more edging. It makes it harder for me, and overall more enjoyable. This felt more like a cock hero, which it seems like where you are headed with the edging concept in stroker ace. I'm kinda turned off of the cock hero concept since being turned onto your first edging experiment. I've probably played your first one 7 times now, and I don't see much replay for the second one for me. I was hoping the second one would keep up or increase the intensity of the first. I liked the longer build up time to the first edge, but once I can edge once, it is more fun/difficult to keep doing it frequently.
Hey Severen, thanks a bunch for the great feedback.
HA, seems like someone is addicted to Edging!

Sorry to disappoint your hopes in making another PURE edging video tease... it was always my intention when I started experimenting with Edging in the video teases to have it as a new added element the the Stroker Ace series.
But with that said, I may start a new video tease series after Stroker Ace 2 purely based on Edging with shorter (20-30 minute) Edging video teases. We'll see.
Severen wrote:Not critique beyond format, though. I really like your editing and music choices, as the stroker ace series are my go to cock hero wise. I think a lot of it is in the editing and music for me, the models are second. You don't really seemed to have a gaudy or tacky taste in your model selection (like what Brewster was mentioning about fake boobs and whatnot), so no complaints there.
I guess I'm in the minority, but I do like some softcore/dancing type stuff. I probably prefer that over blatant hardcore stuff, but the hardcore stuff isn't really a turnoff so much if the shots aren't constantly cutting to the dude's face and zooming in on his hairy, bobbing ass-crack.
Either way, keep up the good work, man. Everybody is different, so take my critique with a grain of salt. It is all personal preference.
Critique away! The only way I can improve the video teases I create is if I get honest detailed feedback!
Again, thanks a bunch for the very kind words. And no, you're not in the minority at all - I would guess that about 50% of fans who like the CH-style of video teases actually prefer softcore/dancing stuff (Human being one of more vocal ones

). As an FYI, I'm complete agreement with you on the hardcore stuff - I usually try to add mostly POV scenes or scenes where there's little focus on the guy and MORE focus on the girl - No hairy, bobbing ass-cracks here!
Triple Alfa wrote:It didn't really work for me because there is no buildup, just a 5 sec warning. This means that you'll edge shorter or longer depending on how close you are.
On the first edge I wasn't anywhere near the edge, so I only edged for like 10 secs and it wasn't a very close edge. The second edge was the complete opposite. I was edging right from the start that time.
Hey Triple Alfa, thanks for contributing really detailed feedback.
As far as a "buildup", my thinking was the standard "stroke beat" stroking
is the buildup that naturally leads to the Edge. Maybe it's just me, but by the 2nd or 3rd "round" of any CH-style video tease, I'm already warmed-up to the point where it would be pretty easy to get to the Edge. So, perhaps the first Edge in Round 1 was too soon for a build-up (I think someone else made mention of it earlier in this thread). FYI, I wasn't going to have any 'Edge n' Ride' sections in the early Rounds of Stroker Ace 2 anyways.
Additionally, the way I imagined it, the building up to an Edge is built into the duration of the 'Edge n' Ride' session. 'Edge n' Ride' sessions will be a minimum of 30 seconds; I figured after all the standard "stroke beat" stroking, 30 seconds should be enough for most people to get to the Edge and Ride it. Also, if they get to it too soon, or if they didn't Ride it as long as they wanted... well, they can play through the video tease again! Makes replaying Stroker Ace 2 a new experience each time!
Triple Alfa wrote:Which brings me to the second problem. After the second edge I couldn't hold the stroking pattern because the break was too short. This is because you(the video maker) had no control over the edge. For others it might have been fine, because they didn't have such an intense edge that time.
Sigh... yeah, this was always going to be a problem.
From the feedback I received from my first Edging experiment video tease, it sounded like breaks right after an Edging session should be kept short. So I think I kept the Breaks after an 'Edge n' Ride' session to have be a minimum of 10 seconds and a max of 20 seconds. I'm pretty much going to keep the Breaks around that long as I think most CH-style fans will be able to recover by that time. And I figure those who can't - well, they can challenge themselves to try better next time!

But if you think there's an "optimum Break period" number in seconds, let me know.
Triple Alfa wrote:To solve this I'd suggest using a buildup phase of free stroking before the edge 'n ride. Rather then a 5 sec warning. This would make sure everyone would be edging for the same length of time and give them time to get as close to the edge as they can.
A good suggestion and one I may explore if/when I do a complete "Edging" video tease. But I don't think I'll include any "freestyle stroking" in Stroker Ace 2 where the focus is still stroking to the rhythm of the music - I just wanted to add Edging as a new element to enhance the Stroker Ace 2 experience.
Triple Alfa wrote:I liked the extended edge at the end by the way. Maybe you could also experiment with multiple edges in a row with breaks in between?

Somebody can read my mind.
Again, thanks so much for this awesome feedback.
