People really need to grow some skin and stop being so damn sensitive.

I'm sick and tired of how so many people man the trenches at the first sign of anything having to do with religion. And "islamistic" really has little or nothing to do with religion anyway. It relates to extremism and certain cultural aspects. If someone wants to criticise that they should be most welcome to.

Nothing what so ever, nothing at all, should ever be taboo or shielded from criticism or humorous mocking. Including religion, race or nationality.

Just wondering about something here - is some of the site's data stored on servers in the U.S., and some in Switzerland?

This comment reminded me of The Pirate Bay, which from what I understand, is not subject to U.S. copyright law because everything is sitting in Sweden. Does this site have to follow the laws of two countries?

As for the tease in question...it does not sit well with me at all (nor do teases with nuns, for that matter); however, I do not think it should be taken down. It's not wrong per se, it's just in very poor taste. I think Indy has it right - If you don't like the material - don't read it.

Hi,

Just want to say that I think we're going down a slippery slope here.

This one looks like it was posted by a friend of Mr. Bush. I'm not a religious person but I do believe in tolerance and knocking other people's beliefs is not what this site should be about.

Keep politics and religion out and we can all have fun.

I believe is used as an excuse to ban something because of a mistaken belief that it might just upset some-one, without the need to check.

Because of this some English Councils tried to ban the references to Christmas.

                            "Santa Claus"

Not true. In fact, false.
If you stop believing in "Santa Claus" he stops coming.
That's a christmas tease waiting to be written...

Councillors have been told not to eat or drink in committee meetings while Muslims are fasting during Ramadan.

By Martin Beckford, Religious Affairs Correspondent

4:46PM BST 28 Aug 2008

All members of Tower Hamlets Council in east London, where 36 per cent of the population follows Islam, were sent an email asking them to abide by the restrictions observed by strict Muslims during the holy month.

They have also been told that the town hall's business agenda will be reduced throughout Ramadan to accommodate Muslims, with only seven committee meetings scheduled and special prayer breaks included in the evening events.

Tower Hamlets Council has previously insisted that staff call their Christmas meal the "festive lunch" and replaced Bonfire Night celebrations with a show based on a Bengali folk tale.

I've already talked about tolerance and free speech generally, but I also want to say some things about this tease specifically.

Wait, what? Knocking people's beliefs? The tease is criticizing Islamism, a theocratic political system, not Islam, the religion. Check the title. :-)

Specifically the tease mocks:

- Censorship: "If you are fundamentalistic you should not have used the internet"
- Suppression of sexuality: "WARNING: On the next pages you will see bare legs, lingerie and tits.
If you can not handle this please leve now."
- Abuse of women: "If you are not my husband than close this tease right now because
sexual contact with anybody else may cause that I will be killed
by throwing stones on me."
- Gender roles: "A picture of me in the kitchen?! "

I'm not even really sure where exactly I disagree with the tease, except maybe that it's a bit crude satire and not very elegant. And of course the bad grammar. Brrr.

I'm not even sure its overt criticism. Its sarcastic, but sarcasm is not really in you face criticism.

The only issue I had with the tease was that it was not meant as a tease but as some sort of commentary. But if "someone tease me" type one page teases are not censored, why should this be? And the last pic was arousing, so....

For all the people rushing to censor to not offend islamism, read the first paragraph of

This refers to US obscenity law. So it's a legal term more than anything.
