While it's already been done, when a Flash tease includes links to off-site videos, I appreciate when the author posts a forum message with the links there .. since you can't cut-and-paste links from the Flash tease, I've found that to be very helpful and adds to the user-friendlyness of the tease.

I concur with the comment about long unknown-duration timers, too. Perhaps at the beginning of a tease the participant is asked "how long to you have to play - short/medium/long" and their selection determines how long a hidden unknown-duration timer will be in some situations?

I say 3 mins max is good. There is one tease I saw where it stops for 20 mins and that is unacceptable. I should be able to complete the entire tease in 20 mins.

5. It's gotta be a flash or video tease
Classic teases where I get to (and have to) click my way from one page to the next simply don't work for me. I should not have that amount of control, and contrary to flash teases, classic teases don't not have the ability to surprise me. I know this is very much a matter of taste though - I know many people feel the exact opposite about this.
I disagree.
I know - you and a lot of others do, hence why I wrote what I did: Tease type being all about personal preferences and little else.

For the flash teases specifically, is there a general rule of thumb for the timers? I know a lot of people tend to complain when the timer is something like 5+ minutes, so is there a general length that is accepted by most?
That's where the "keep me interested" thing comes into play.... Staring at the same screen for 5 minutes while a timer ticks down is.... *drumroll* not very interesting.

If you have a task that takes that long, stroking or whatever, it should be supported by either several pages and/or videos.
