Ok, but also (sorry to bring this thread back :S) but why are really skinny women (like underweight) are pictured as "sexy" in the media, if not a lot of people find them sexy.
And also, i dont know how to start a pool, but tell me, what would you guys prefer, a skiny/thin girl, Or a curveous/thick/voluptuous girl?

what can I say? Tastes differ. If you find something sexy that doesnt mean everyone will agree with you. You shouldn't expect anyone to agree with your reasoning. You like thick, someone like skinny, others like fat... if 11/12 teases feature skinny girls - that's only because authors like them. That's a piece of statistics for ya.

i just wanted to compare the users difference thats why i'm starting this" poll" (because i don't know how to do a real one) so see what users prefers...
uptil now its
Thick/curvaceous/voluptuous : 1 (me)
Skinny/thin: 0
Others (please specify) : 0
By the way, i may look like i'm talking about girls like if they are goods, but i'm not, i just want to see your tastes. Because even though we may have our preference i think that most people wont base a relationship entirely on looks (personality matters a lot, i wont go with a girl with a bitchy attitude, even if she hot as hell), but we may have some preference.

I think it's because the West (especially the US) fetishizes skinniness as a society. Obesity is a major issue and is highly shamed and tabooed since childhood (see
http://www.cbc.ca/news/health/story/201 ... -diet.html for example). It is no surprise, then, that the standard of beauty is going to glorify skinniness. It wasn't always like this; Marilyn Monroe, for example, is probably too curvy for today's standards.
Also, there is a huge industry revolving around shaming people about their weight; if you want to look like the model on TV, go on this diet program, go to this gym, buy this book, eat this food, etc. It is in these companies' best interest to promote this body image.

I know a lot of guys these days think that they will come across as sensitive and gentlemanly if they make derogatory comments about skinny girls, and claim to prefer women with curves.
The problem I have with this is the word 'natural' always comes into it. As if there are no naturally skinny girls.. it makes out that all skinny girls must be starving themselves.
Its not just fat girls that get low self-esteem about their weight, there are plenty of naturally skinny girls that are self-concious about the way they look too. Not all of them are anorexic, its pretty offensive term but it seems to be okay to use it to describe any girl who is a bit underweight.
For every shape of person, theres someone else who finds it attractive or unattractive. I just dont get why it suddenly become okay to make rude comments about a womans weight if she is skinny.

Too true cumhardy. It's outright annoying that so many people think all skinny girls are unhealthy or otherwise unnatural.
And just like many large girls have problems with their self image, so do many skinny girls too - also often related to worries about small breasts etc. (shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, but girls worry at least as much about small/bad boobs as guys worry about small dicks. At least we guys have the advantage of not having our dicks on display 24/7 like girls do)

well, i didn't think i used derogatory terms, if I did, i'm sorry. What i mean is, in the world we live in, when a girl is skinny, she's view as freaking sexy, but if she voluptuous/thicker, even if she's not fat she get called fat... that she eaet to much and stuff... that stuff happen to my girlfriend a lot, even if she's isn't fat. What i mean is the society is hard with any girl that's not skinny, thus everybody think that they more atttrative. Lets face it, a naturally skinny girl and a naturally thicker girl... who have it the harder way? yeah that what i thought...

Sorry, but to say that fat girls have a harder life that thin girls is crap. There is just as much anti-thin propaganda in the media, possibly more because its now seen as un-PC to make fun of overweight people but its fine to have headlines like "Shockingly Thin Celebs!" etc.
Ive have overweight girlfriends and underweight girlfriends in the past, and they all had issues about the way they looked. The big difference ive noticed is that people find it much more acceptable to make comments about a skinny girl to her face.
I agree the media doesnt help, it portrays the perfect woman as thin waisted, big tits, blonde and the perfect man has huge biceps and a six-pack and nobody looks like that in real life, but making comments like:
lust wrote:. Also, i see a lot nearly anorexic women, who think that they are the sexiest human being, but they're not!
Doesnt help either!
