no its not up to me to decide , thats why I was suggesting that for the good of milovana and for there friendships, people should stop the name calling and talk to one another. I think that we have had too much said in public so thats why I suggested talking in private.

You made me a member of your Team, and have stood by me thru some of the past harshness. You don't deserve to be drug into the crossfire on this, and have to either defend my actions, or even simply have to deal with the hassle of checking reported posts. Therefore, I officially offer my resignation from the Team. If I'm a problem, get rid of me. Simple as that.

Just to be clear Indy, I dont have a problem with you or desire your resignation, or have asked for your head to be put on a pike. I know that you are going through a very hard time in your life, and your current frustration sometimes comes through here :-/
Hope things are getting better, dont push people away :-/

Always good with healthy discussion, and I fully support having this in public, Lady x

Nor should you resign and wish this to die - as you have seen, there are many users who take a positive interest in this.

I have no idea what specifically is the history about your first point so can't make much comment there, other than agreeing in general that users who keep making trouble over time should definitely be warned and ultimately banned. I believe this is in theory already the case, the question is whether it gets done or not in practice and to what extent this site has enough moderators.

I completely agree with seraphox' line of thought on moderating in general though - if people aren't allowed to express things that some users might pick up in a bad way, you essentially do not have freedom to express yourself at all. I am completely boggled by how people on the Internet in general, not just here on this particular site, is so completely unable to deal with things they read in a sensible fashion. While it's lame for people to deliberately provoke or fight with others, just as much on the net as in real life, in the end of the day, people are entirely too caught up in it, taking things other write entirely too seriously. It should be technically impossible to actually get hurt or seriously offended by anything someone you don't even know at all writes on a forum on the net. I know it's not as simple as that, but in general people should work with themselves to better learn to ignore or shrug off bad stuff others may write on the net. Remind yourself on this as often as required: "this particular lamer doesn't mean anything to me so why should I care what he/she writes?"

For the second point, I completely agree chat logs is a good idea, especially for users in "your" role, but I also see the reservation some users may have. By instinct, most people will perceive the chat as a live event, leaving no trace for others than those who were present. Then again, as long as a logging feature would be based on mutual consent by those present, I see no problem with it - just like you asked my permission before posting content from a private chat we held elsewhere about a year ago if you recall.

In the end of the day there is really little sense in trying to prevent someone from retaining data from chat sessions. Since the data is sent to/from each user's computer, it is pretty much impossible to prevent users from logging it with other software too should they want to.

Instead, a better approach might be to accept that this is a feature people have available whether we like it or not, and instead be a lot more clear about this being the case so everyone knows and can relate to it.

Love :-D

The problem is only to find a line between people "continuously causing trouble" and people with unpopular thoughts, like me. I'm not causing trouble on purpose, I don't desire to insult anyone, yet if I talk my mind straight people are offended, and it's I who in this thread referred to causing trouble. Should I be warned or banned for that? On some forums I would be, no matter if I have some point or not. Just because I annoy people. Seems Milovana's not the case.

Thats what I like about Milovana. People are not chastised by the admin just because they dont adhere to the popular school. :-)

While we have had our discussions, and you definitely speak your mind, much like myself, that is definitely nothing anyone should be warned for. Some people can get unnecessarily pointed and Sharp-elbowed now and then I guess, but that has more to do with engagement and actually having opinions they care to defend, rather than purposefully posting to step on toes.

If that's what you think, then I can't see incidents on Milovana that actually are just starting conflicts. There's noone to ban or restrain. All the fuss there is is from people having different opinions.

Precisely. Difference of opinion, often combined with the fact that some people are overly sensitive and let themselves be offended over the smallest thing, often as simple as a different view itself, regardless of how it is presented.

My final word on all this.

It was the method of implementation I had a problem with.

I am over it now.
I have no enemies and offer friendship to every one.
Strange how much kerfuffle occurred.
