I'm going to chime in with the choir and say that while I did enjoy it the timers did seem a bit excessive.

I think more than anything, since the time of the timers was hidden I worried that the page had broken or was not going to continue a few times.. which pulled me out of the story.

Aside from that criticism, well written, excellent images. I enjoyed it. If I had more than two thumbs I'd put them up too... but sadly I can only give you two thumbs up.

I'm just curious here and not trying to piss in anyone's cheerios or anything, but for all those that suggested shorter timers.....

Can you be specific here? The timers in this tease were pretty much all 2 minutes which seems to be too long for your likeing, so I'm just curious how long (or short) you actually want them to be?

Not necessarily for Anna's tease specifically, but in general. It'll help me in future writing as well.

For me, I like timers where the dialogue and fantasy feel natural. I think immersion is one of the most important parts of a tease, and poor timers really kill that.

That means if a page is of spoken dialogue, the timer doesn't stay for two minutes forcing you to keep stroking, or admiring her beauty, or what-not.If it's instruction, I think there are better ways to have the user stroke than to leave it on one picture for two or even three minutes. To make it much more natural, as I said, might be to tell the user to stroke and then continue with the dialogue and the picture changes while the instruction's being carried out. The longer the page is static, and nothing is said, the more time the user has to consider he's just looking at a picture and some text somebody else wrote.

I really love your teases Incubo... As for your own timers, I think you do a good enough job! You're good when it comes to going between letting a user advance on their own (click a button to "respond" to continue conversation) and then timing on actions is pretty spot on. AlsoI think AngelAnna adjusted the timing since I last checked, it seems much better now, timers topping out at ~30-60sec. With that, good job on the tease.

I think the problem was less that of the time itself and more of... knowing what exactly was happening. Since no picture changed, no text changed, etc... I often wondered if the page hadn't broken. We are used to seeing some sort of prompt or signal to know that everything is working accordingly. My issue with the timing wasn't that it was too long to stroke or whatever, but that I recieved no... feedback, as to what was happening.

The timer being hidden was the problem with that. Obviously, a hidden timer is crucial to na extent... but a long hidden timer with no visual, or textual change leaves me confused. I've a short attention span and so I think that contributes here.
