I understand and empathize towards this sentiment. Quality over quantity is always my opinion when it comes to art. And make no mistake, you make art...so just do what you are here to do, and don't let anyone's expectations alter that.

Hey Fashion Technique. It seems like you're using absolutes (like the words "are" and "must") when trying to convey your preference for certain material and it comes off as oppressive (which I don't think is your intention). Saying "I prefer performance art in content I consume because I have an appreciation for the visual effort put on display." would be sufficient.

I assume you are no longer in need for assistance? I can relate to struggles with motivation and know very well how a good group of people to support can go a long way in helping to nurture that motivation. So I'd be very happy to help you as well.
I personally have a little experience with davinci, but really not a lot. I could also maybe help with the texting a little or even just with a new point of view. Sadly, I didn't yet get around to make a project myself due to the "motivation issue" if you will, so I can't give you an example of what I could do.
So if you think I might be beneficial to your project hmu, otherwise I'm looking forward to seeing what (if anything) y'all will produce at the end. :)

I'm in the same boat, there is a lot of good BPM stuff out there maybe we can collab for sure. We all seem to use mega so maybe we can share a folder and try and edit clips we like, any bit under 30 seconds or so, and if we like a longer scene we can just drop in more 30 second clips

Thank you for your interest in my project and for your support offer.

Has it really been that long since I opened this topic?! ... Damn..

I had no intention of giving up on this project but I haven't worked on it for several months now (for certain personal reasons) and it's true that since then I haven't had the desire to get back into it, but I'm not giving up on this project.

A lot of work has already been done, like:

• Writing the basic script.

• Creating the (custom) musical mix.
  This alone took me several weeks to create, and I'm not talking about a little playlist here but a full music set of 60+ songs, 1+hour.

• The (long and tedious) search for good quality content.
  With the help of other people who have joined the project's server on Discord (private mini server), (content obviously fitting the script as much as possible).

• Sorting, classification, and first cut and selection of the scenes most likely to be used, etc...

And some other things...

All this to say, (without going into too many details), several weeks of work had already been done on this project, so I do not intend to trash it and I didn't intend to give up.
Apart from personal events which took me away from the project, another problem I encountered was the search for missing content to fill certain scenes in the script.

I'm not making any promises, but I'm going to try to get back into this project in a few weeks once I have more time.

Hum... Sorry, I'm not sure I understand, what you are suggesting seems more like a collaborative project of several small clips from a few creators that we would put together or something...?

If the idea in itself is not bad, I'm not sure how it would lead to anything really concrete and coherent...

Unless it's a small group of creators working on a common project with good communication?
Or would the idea be more to create many little random clips according to the mood of the moment and then when there are enough short clips to make a compilation of them all?

Yes exactly! We would have a open period of say, two weeks for folks to upload their favorite clips and then after a few people (like myself) would have access to edit a full video. if anything it would be a highlight reel of whoever participated favorites and anyone can participate in submission of clips and editing them. just a though lol
