This way also has the advantage that you can just stick your video player on 'shuffle' and get a different order every time.

A way I've done this before is with VLC playlists, and I randomized a form of it in a Python script. Doing a non-randomly generated playlist would just be writing a M3U8 playlist with the VLC-extended start-time/stop-time used to do what you do with FFMPEG. You can write VLC playlists that will shuffle video segments without needing to duplicate file data. The playlists can be used by anyone that has the same original files.

Third. This is why I moved to producing simpler meters and no-meter graphic styles that show BPM. Although the meter is what makes it a game, it is often the meter author's beat placements that will ruin a CH for a player.

Those are two of the best in that genre (NN and YT). I especially loved that CH YT delivered at the end. After that long of a "tease" session, it was glorious to get the goods at the end.
