Thank you!

I hope that people leave feedback (good or bad) about the software and the experience of the demo.

And creators... if you are interested in trying your hand at making your next project in the tool, don't hesitate to pm me!

If anyone is able to help me test a smaller chunk size... can you please try this:

Code: Select all

magnet:?xt=urn:btih:d17817fd1ef00b220245709cca1befba27efda2a&dn=pseudo+-+smaller+chunk+size&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.leechers-paradise.org%3A6969&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.coppersurfer.tk%3A6969&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.opentrackr.org%3A1337&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fexplodie.org%3A6969&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.empire-js.us%3A1337&tr=wss%3A%2F%2Ftracker.btorrent.xyz&tr=wss%3A%2F%2Ftracker.openwebtorrent.com
It's the same game, with a much smaller chunk size. I'd like to see if there is any transfer speed difference

How do you feel this compares in complexity to Beatmeter Generator? I really like that tool, since it makes it so easy to lay down custom tracks, and then just export the video and audio when I'm done for easy import. I've done all my CH vids with that, and I can lay down a full 30-40 minute beat track in a couple of hours.

It's almost apples and oranges. The beatmeter and sound here is generated real-time based on timestamps provided by the client. You don't get a bunch of image files, it actually animates them on the page.

Since you'd likely have your beat-hit track laid out in your editor... there's a tool I build to dump out a timestamp file (that part is probably identical to the beatmeter generator tool) but once you have that you can decorate the json object with extra options like beat color, bar color, filter effects, and soon more.

And since you feed this live into the player, you can change it however you like to impact play.

not sure what my problem is but I'm on qBittorrent 4.3.0.1 and neither yours with smaller chunk or fagustree loads for me.It stays forever on "Retrieving metadata..."

Interesting. Maybe I'll take a peek if it provides an easy way to make some fancier effects. Beatmeter Generator already lets you specify colors and sizes and such though. It's cool that we're getting more tools. :)

I forgot to mention that webtorrent is not currently compatible with bittorrent clients. There's a patch to libtorrent that needs to be released before most clients get support

Finally managed to fully download it with these pre 2000 internet speeds ;-)
Upload didn't work until i had 100% downloaded. Then upload started. That is maybe one of the reasons download is so slow. Normally you should be able to upload parts you already downloaded.

Upon finishing the download i had to restart the browser, because it was not immediately able to play the video.

Otherwise it worked well. Beats are in sync with the music and visuals are clear and look good. Only right at the end of the video the beatmeter got wonky.

Also some features i would consider essential would be fullscreen video and volume control.

You can fullscreen. Press f11.
I'll look into the upload while downloading issue...

I guess that if either Adobe AE or Beatmeter Generator works well for you and you are not interested in the interactivity, coya elements or reanomization, this software might not offer that many benefits for you now?
I personally hate Adobe software due their UI and Beatmeter Generator was unstable and crashing on my often. Plus I prefer creating my audio beat patterns inside Vegas so fagustree's CYOA software is just perfect for me.

Fullscreen button or some note on the site that would say "Press F11 for fullscreen" would be nice.
Some volume control wouldn't hurt too.

Btw, am I the only one who's CPU goes close to 100% when seeding?

Mine does too. I need to isolate if it's the fs api or webrtc doing it. It dries not super to be javascript taking the cpu

Cool. Thanks for the info. I don't know that I enjoy the Adobe interfaces, but I'm at least used to them hehe. And luckily, Beatmeter Generator has been rock steady for me. It sounds like a cool tool though. :)

Interesting. Downloading and will try it over the weekend.

Unless I missed something your github has no source code? And if there is source code would you be open to pull requests?

I am a java / c# / js / css / html dev with most of my coding done in high performance, real time environments. I also like porn, Milovana and Pseudonym :-)

I'm not opposed to opening the source to the site. I really could use some help tracking performance (memory/cpu) issues down to the webrtc layer in the webtorrent modules.

Currently downloading and have been holding ~96-132KiB/s with 3 peers. Has been steady up to 46% now
