Most issues are to do with incorrect versions of files GuideMe needs.
If you try the latest version and start it using start.bat it should use the versions that come with GuideMe.

If that does not work then the error will almost certainly be in the log files guide me produces.
They should be in the logs directory where you put guideme.
Delete all the logs and then start guideme and load stf.
Quit out this should give you a small guideme.log.
If you put the file up somewhere and PM me the link I will have a look to see what is the issue.
I just ran STF with the latest 64Bit version and it worked fine, so it is probably something local to your install.

Can someone help me? I really want to play this but I have no idea how to run it. I downloaded and unzipped the tease and the GuideMe program but I have no idea what to do.\

edit: I figured out how to run start.bat or whatever the file name was, and load STF, but all I get is a black screen with white text. Not sure how to get the actual game to work.

It should open a dialogue box, you need to select the tease xml file to run (in this case STF.xml) and click open.
The tease should then start.

Nevermind I got it working! I'm so excited, this tease is right up my alley. I'll let you know what I think soon. Cheers!
