So I had a chance to check it out. Awesome potential, I think I'll be up half the night creating myself customized cards.

One feature I think would be really cool is to build in some sort of way to earn additional credits. For example, I log in and get my initial credit(s) but I can get 1 additional credit if I exercised for 30 minutes that day, or if I did a load of laundry, etc. That would make it especially interesting if couples wanted to use the website, my wife can add tasks for me to earn credits and even create cards for me.

Well, I was thinking of a feature like that ("earning" credits) but didn't do it (yet), since I would be probably cheating a lot if it was available

I'm going to add your request to my feature backlog, but since I was planning to implement some kind of supervisor accounts someday (i.e. another account can modify your credits, cards, punishments etc.), I'm not sure if this would be worth it. But, as I said, features requested by users are top priority for me.

Anyway, for now you can use a workaround: if you want to "earn" 3 credits, go to Settings before you click "Collect credits" and modify your min/max daily credits range (e.g. from 1-5 to 4-8). This way you'll make sure you get your 3 credits plus something random :)

There's no signup form. Put your username and password in the fields on the landing page and then click Sign up. Have fun!

and does the creator make new cards at a certain point? or is it always the same chances i have?

Not sure if I understand you correctly, but the cards you get at signup are yours to do whatever you want. You can change, disable or delete any or all of them. You can also create new cards for yourself or browse the public cards and make copies of them. There are not too many public cards created by other users yet, but hopefully there will be soon.

This site is amazing! Random question, were you able to build this for free on heroku, or did this require a paid plan due to database limitations and all that jazz?

No, it's all on the free plan. I don't intend to earn money on the site, but I don't want to pay a single dime for it, either. The biggest limitation of Heroku's free tools I hit up-to-date is 10k rows limit in the free Postgresql plan. Thankfully they send you a warning email before you hit the limit so I was able to migrate part of the data to another DB.

Awesome, thanks for the info. A second DB through Heroku? You're allowed to use multiple DBs?

Sure, as long as it's a different DB. I decided to use MongoHQ, partly because it had the biggest limits I could find for a free DB plan, partly to learn how to use it :)

Would it be possible to add a filter to the public cards to see which ones you haven't added to your own cards?

Also, in the sort, is is possible to sort by date added, so you can see new ones as players add them?

Yes and yes, although I can't promise any deadlines I will let you know when the features are added.

Done. Also, the default sorting of cards is now "Recently modified first". I think it makes more sense than sorting by card description.

Still working on it. I noticed a bug in how I tracked which card was copied from which, but hopefully (most of) the data should be recoverable.

I think you lose a point each time you draw a card, so 3 more means you lose 4?
