is anyone asking for permissions? and did every author earn the required distribution rights?
and for the used music in CH? or even sound-F/X within a webtease?

most of the teases i saw, did not credit any source, so i doubt it...
Again, I can only speak for myself on this.

In every tease I've ever published, I've only used promotional pictures released by the people behind them. This limits me to 12-20 pictures per set, but I try to make the most of them. I've never used any pictures the companies didn't freely put out themselves.

As far as credit goes, promotional pictures usually have the site they come from written on them. Check my latest tease for an example, all images have the site's URL stamped on them.

As a webtease writer, I'm not sure what more I could do. I've always done my best to respect other people's work.

I don't know why this discussion is drifting into the copyright corner?
There are already several threads on this topic.

It just came across as a bit hypocritical to be sensitive about someone making a derivative work without explicit permission when that is what most teases do with pictures.
As long as it is a derivative work and not wholesale plagiarism and the original author acknowledged I don't really see what the issue is.
Most things on this site are a collaboration of some sort very few things are completely an original work.

I was a little surprised by some ofnthe reactions given the nature of the site.
A lot of teases use promo content which can be freely used anyhow, and a few more fall well within the confines of Fair Use.

Yes, in general a lot of teases probably violates copyright, but not sure if that's the case here. And even if it is, that still doesn't make it ok for others to misuse the tease authors' creative content.

And if he would post the XML file and creates a descryption on how to get the files?
Or someone creates a descryption on how to download teases and merge them together?

I think then nobody would care
