I have managed to reproduce that error... and well... it seems to be caused by user impatience... clicking too many buttons before being asked to just mashes the programme.

The fix is a complete reinstal and to purge your app data file. I mean, wipe every trace of TeaseAI on your system.

It was NOT fun finding this bug and how to recreate!

I'm only posting in order that genome knows that it's not a Spicy problem.

Don't forget that ALL of Spicy's Starts except from the single intro require that you begin with chastity flag set as "on". Resetting a session doesn't alter any of the flags (this is the same with all personalities). So if you reset a session after she's unlocked you then the only other script she can use is the starting intro because @ChastityOn won't have been activated again.

@ChastityOn is a system flag, not a personality flag, so the whole programme will know your locked state. If you need to re-set that then launch the programme, go to the settings menu from the top bar. There's a drop-down, click on "misc" and in there you can toggle the chastity state.. so turn her on lol

By the way, can we just overwrite the existing Spicy folder instead of placing a new folder with updates in the Scripts (overwrite the SpicyTeaseBeta140 instead of deleting it and placing the SpicyTeaseBeta141 in Scripts)?

Just a quick feedback: I know you put a lot of effort into the sound thing, but just for me personally, it is not my cup of tea. It feels a bit strange and takes me out of the mood, as the normal chat interaction feels more natural, maybe there could be a flag to disable sounds? Not that it super bothers me, but I wanted to mention it at least! Keep up the good work dude! ;)

I've actually added a setting in Patch 50 that allows you to automatically mute any audio or video that plays, so you'll be all set there

ok, I've gone through this whole thread.. here are my issues.. upon starting i get an error:
'C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\New Folder\Scripts\SpicyTeaseBeta141\Apps\Games\Risky Pick\._Risky Pick.txt' is denied.
Everytime I close the program, it resets everything, image folders, Domme images, preferences, glitter contacts, etc. just like a fresh install.

then everytime the program wants to run an audio or video (which is pretty regularly) it throws up an error that the file cannot be played, do i wish to try? and when I say yes or no, nothing happens,, infact I have never seen anything in the window, images, video, nothing. only domme photos when they were working.... not sure what is going on..... running 48.5 and tried with 49. I am running windows XP on a partitioned drive (yes, I'm a macfag) and I'm not sure how TAI calls video (windows media center, etc) but the files from Spicy are mp4, which is mac? do I need to convert to wmv?

It's is running on windows... I think I am going to try a fresh install.. but quick question.. does Spicy work on the newest patch (49) and it appears that all of the video files from the original download are mp4 how do these play in the program?

It won't help much but TEASE AI is saving general settings in C:/Users/YOUR NAME/AppData/Local/Tease_AI - this folder should contain another folder starting with "Tease_AI.exe_Url_" and the last folder inside it called "1.0.0.0" - this is the location of the main settings, if anything from this folder gets deleted (it should contain only user.config), the program will reset completely, which means you'll have to set up folders with pictures, videos, your name, domme name etc.

With the video bug, I remember TEASE AI requires a particular player (unfortunately I don't remember which one) and maybe update your codecs. You'd have to ask in the TEASE AI main thread.

The reason for this error is because (correct me if i'm wrong) you've transferred files you've downloaded on a mac onto the windows partition of bootcamp or similar and then tried using them. Often what this does will copy over the file and then create a hidden filed with exactly the same name is " ._ " before it. so in this case it would have copied over riskt pick.txt and created a hidden ._risky pick.txt file. If you go to view and folder options you can turn on show hidden folders and files. Seach your whole TeaseAi directory fo ._ in file names and then you should be able to delete all those files safely (check that the correct files are also there if you want). The reason this error happens is because tease ai detects a file there and tries to read it, then realises it doesn't have access because it's hidden and the wrong format and then spews out the error.
