Thanks Della. I started, slowly, and am thinking my target may not show up very often. I used a random number generator to get my starting point - 205. Good question goodman. It looks as though most/all of the players are nowhere close to the end of the thread. That's the only explanation I find for the small amount of posts over the 2 weeks that I was on holiday. Anyone desperately hoping for more targets at the end of the thread would surely realise that only by posting for the other players these others players will start to post for him/her.

I agree with the desire and the fear. I have always thought that there is more excitement and intrigue when several players are at the end. They post more updates. There are more photos. There is more interaction. And, I think it is what Della gets out of the game.

However, I was just at the point in the thread where I got impatient at the end and asked to start over at the beginning. It can be tough waiting for posts and having really slow days/weeks. That request ended up backfiring and it took several months. Maybe I should just leave well enough alone.

I would be open to moving to the end of the thread, with the hope that others do so as well. Or, at least post on a regular basis. I know it isn't a rule to post an update and photos, but it is a nice courtesy to the other players and Della.
