I fear that that seems to be the main purpose of many of the mazes

Maybe I'll have to try it myself some day to see how bad it is. Until then I'll start playing a few boxes of the standard game and play the active player

There's always the chance to send a replacement box to Noah.

That way you can adjust the more challenging boxes to a more palatable level. You could even sneak in a few preferences of yours into the game (as long as they don't put other people off )
