So new teases for guideme or teaseme?

Is there a known issue under Win7 Professional SP1?
Everytime I want to start the .exe, nothing happens. I checked the Task Manager and the TeaseMe.exe process is listed for a few seconds after click but disappears without any notice whatsoever.

Any ideas? An updated file I missed? I downloaded the 0.1.4 version from the first page, btw.
Any help would be appreciated.

Is there anyway to use teaseme to just download the xml files? I have been downloading (and correcting any errors) a lot of my favourite teases but either due to some bug (or maybe my antivirus did something) all the xml files in teases have disappeared. Theyre not in the vault or anything and seem to have gone completely along with a few full teases.

I don't mind downloading the full teases again that i've lost but when you download to teaseme you generally get all the pics etc while i already have all that so if there's a way to just get the xml files that would be a lot better and quicker. Altogether there's almost 500 teases, unfortunately some have gone already from milovana altogether. Btw i dont download these to have them hd, for some silly reason and flash tease on milovana the writing is so small as to be unreadable, on teaseme its excellent and by using the original pics all 500 come out at under 4gb, unfortunately now ive lost all the xmls which is more than a little gutting as to download everything again will take me ages. Any advice on if its possible to just get the xmls would be excellent thanks

If you start a download of a tease in TeaseMe, the output window will contain something like "milovana.com/getscript?tease=123123". If you just go to that url yourself you will get the script and not any other files.

My advice would be to have a fellow milovanian who just might have the xml's you need to just give them to you.

I have a bunch of downloaded teases too and should have some you need. If you provide or send me a list I can upload the ones I have that you need if it would save you some time. I think it would take me about a minute to zip and upload all the xml's.

@Lestrian, i tried your suggestion but theres a lot of stuff missing, all the beginning of the xml for one but also every page has something missing, mainly the links to where the buttons go etc, all important stuff.

@sexytimes5, thanks for the offer, as it happens i found an old backup of my drive and have a lot of them back, currently have 40 less xmls than i do folders so i now have to go through them all finding which ones are missing lol. At least theres less than 50 now instead of 500, the offer is much appreciated and i'll take you up on it once i figure out which ones are missing thanks.

Iirc, the standalone GuideMe downloader does not redownload the pictures if you already have them. Maybe try that one?

I'm the author of the Original Sin webtease series, and the thirteenth of the OS teases uses TeaseMe. This is my second TeaseMe tease.

I am not sure, but it seems that in TeaseMe, once certain teases are played, they do not "reset," so that certain pages marked as viewed will not come up again when the tease is reloaded, even if Tease Me is completely shut down. Is there a way to reset teases? A file somewhere that stores settings that can be deleted? Thanks.

Are you talking about GuideMe? I'm pretty sure what you're talking about can't happen in TeaseMe. In GuideMe, you can click Reset in the menu, or you can delete the *.state file belonging to the tease.

Would you happen to have "Looking Up!" by cum4me. That user and all his/her teases seem to have vanished. I've run across that quite a few times recently when I've gone back to revisit a tease I really liked. From now on whenever I find a tease I really like I'm downloading it before it, or Milovana itself disappears into a black hole.

Anyway, if you have it let me know. I'll pm you an email address.

I was a big fan of TeaseMe before I moved to mac. Now I can't use it or GuideMe anymore, which sucks, but I understand that it'd be difficult to create a version of these programs for the Mac framework.

I just dropped by to say hi and mention that the new tease, Masuimi hold em by Xere and it's sequel would make awesome teases for this system.

There was a Guideme release for the Mac. Making it cross platform is one of the design goals - it's written in Java so will run on Mac, Windows, Linux, etc. I know several users had it running on Mac. Search the thread for Guideme or post in that thread for help.
