This is literally the best project someone has worked on since I've been on Milovana, just had to say there are so many things you could hook this up to, thanks for working on this.

Wow. Thank you for the compliment. I'm glad to hear it's getting used and enjoyed. I've been away from my computer for a while but I have some plans to add a few other options. Just need to get time on my computer to implement them.

Hi,

as written before the app is working like a charm on my desktop machine (Win10 Pro).
But strangely it does not detect any beats on my laptop machine (Win11 Home).
I've installed all programs the same way on both machines (and I'm using the same metronome tease) but on my laptop it just stays at "Waiting for first beat".
Also the information in the VB Cable control panel looks the same on both machines (L/R movement/percentages for in and out).
Any ideas what else I could try?

I'm assuming it might have something to do with Win11 and unfortunately, I don't have a Win11 machine to test on. I'm assuming you have tried all the normal stuff. Scanned and selected the correct VB Cable device within MetroVerter, made sure proper audio device is selected in the taskbar volume control, and made sure whatever tab you are playing the tease on is not muted (Chrome thing, not sure if Edge, FireFox, or other browsers can do that). Hopefully someone using it on Win11 can confirm if they are having the same issue or not. When I dig into the code, I will see if there is something different for Win11 and the sounddevice module for python.

I'm curious which tease or metronome you're trying to play? I was doing some testing as I was trying to add some features and found out that the beat detection values might need to be adjusted depending on if it's a click, tick, beep, bass or snare drum, etc. I see you said it's the same tease, just curious which one so I can test it on mine. I'm narrowing down the settings using a few different teases like Malena's Maze, Collect 'Em All, Slow, Keep the Beat..., to name a few.

On the Windows 11 side, have you checked privacy settings for your sound devices? Specifically, recording devices. Was also doing some research and this might be a culprit.

You already named the tease in your examples - it's Malena's Maze. I tried mainly the offline version with GuideMe but I also tested the online version in Brave browser.

I will check stuff on the Windows side (privacy settings, device properties, ...) in the next few days.
Thanks for checking you app but don't waste too much time for my problem.
BTW, once or twice - very very seldom - I got a "First beat detected" msg in the app but that was all.

I found the culprit :-)
After turning off the audio enhancements for the "CABLE Output" device it's working now in Win11.
(It was set to "device default effects" per default).

This is great tease to test some of my enhancements with as it has a bunch of different styles of stroking commands which has driven some of my feature additions. Can't say I've heard of Brave browser

Your problem is probably a few peoples problem. Rather get it fixed or find what's causing it now and eliminate it.

Yeah, sometimes it'll do that when there is a small system sound or something right as you start the audio scan. A drawback of the design is you can't listen to the metronome or if other sounds come across your system. It's really fun in FapInstructor because you can turn off the beat meter and not know what's coming.

Great to hear!!! That was one of the other things I had read about but couldn't remember what it was.

I am close to releasing v1.2 so keep an eye out. I'm waiting on some private time to test it appropriately.

Now that I got the app working on my Win11 laptop I had time to play around with it the last few hours -
and I have to thank you again for this great and useful piece of software.

And if I may - there are 2 features I'd like to see in the app:
1) a "pause" button (on/off) would be great so that I don't need to press "stop" and "start"
(so while it is "paused" it just should NOT send any commands to intiface)
2) this second feature might be for a minority of users
I'm using the app mainly with stroker toys and one of them I have is a FunSR1 with the twist option
it would be great if not only the stroking (linear cmd) but also the twist (rotation cmd?) could be sent to intiface.
Only optionally (via a tickbox in the gui maybe) and possible both in sync ->
for example one up movement = 90 degree rotation left and one down movement = 90 degree rotation right
I totally understand it if this feature can't be implemented because it's just for the very minority of users.
But if you still publish the original python file (along with the exe) I might try it myself.

Cheers.

I'll see what I can do. I don't have a way to test the rotation command so I can try and get it implemented and let you have a run to test it.

I've ran into a few issues with implementing features, causing bugs in other places and such. I'm slowly getting there though. I hope to be have a full session with it on Monday. If all goes well, I'll get it uploaded.

Some of the things I have implemented are:
Spoiler: show
  • Adjusted beat detection settings to allow better beat detection for different types of beats
  • Manual stroking buttons with speeds at 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 1, 2, 3, 4 strokes per second
  • Slow, medium, fast numerical stroking buttons with user customizable strokes per second for each speed
  • Edge and Ride buttons. Again with user set BPM for preference
  • User configuration file that will save when exited and reload previous session settings if it's available. Currently having an issue with this after building the executable. Works fine running from script
The idea with all of these is quick stroke changes for when a tease goes from metronome to no metronome and directs the user to stroke a certain way or amount. Or when the player is told to edge and ride when there is no metronome. The customizable BPM or SPS is so the user can set them to their preference as everyone is different and different toys can have different sensations. I've done a few run through tests with Malena's maze, Slow, and even the non-tease Book of Daydreams in the Games forum.

Wow. This app is getting better and better - and full of useful functions.
Thank you so much.

Wow - what a fantastic App :-)

Got it working with my SR6 after some attempts. This is a game changer for the webteases!

Keep up the great work

I am having the same issue as others mentioned where it instantly disconnects. I tried v1.1 and v2. Must there be a supported device connected to intiface for the app to work? I am trying with a Lovense gush, that could be something. I also tried with no device connected, same result.

I tried with Restim, no device plugged in and got same thing.
