When using a permanent search link the link will have the search request appended as a data block in the url, denoted by a ?
When changing the search request's keyword the ? will be replaced by a # which of course doesn't work anymore, and it doesn't even search for the new keyword at all, instead just sending you to a blank search.
This is because the new search settings will still be put into the url, even though the wrong symbol makes them unread.
