What a month. A lot of teases with very high quality as well. It's never easy to pick the best tease, but look at the nominated teases and cast your votes. Show the authors you appreciate their work.
As always, we hope that the members will take the time to recognize the authors whose hard work and talent go to making the site better for all of us! Thanks! Good luck to all the competitors and may the best tease win!
Rules:
The nominations are the 5 highest rated teases of the month. If two webteases have the same rating, the webtease with more votes will rank higher.
In case of a tie, a final round of voting will take place. Only the teases that were part of the tie can participate and the voting time is decreased to two days, to grant the winner's tease as much time as possible time on our front page.
Only one tease per author can participate. We'll use only the best rated tease for authors with multiple qualifying teases.
The voting system should be separated from the webtease itself. Hence webteases encouraging a vote for the TOTM to manipulate the system will not be nominated at the end of the month regardless of ranking.
Once a tease is posted it should remain available for voting.
The prize is a special user rank in our forum and a mark in the "Browse Teases" area.
Winner's Name
If your tease is nominated, please don't make any changes until the voting period is over, or you risk being disqualified.
If any issues happen that are not clarified by these rules the Team of Milovana has the right and the the duty to adjust the rules for finding the best and most fair solution to overcome this issue. There is no way for participants to affect a decision by the Team.

So many great teases this month, pity having to set them up against each other.
Venus definitely gets my vote this time for the best maze tease this site has ever seen, but the others are great candidates too so it's sad having to choose only one.
I suspect this is a topic discussed earlier and elsewhere, but I have to ask: What is the criteria for selecting the five nominees in the Flash Tease of the Month poll? There were other, excellent scripts submitted that are longer, as well as high ratings and more views.

This is from the bottom part of the first post.

Thanks for the reply Wyatt. The reason I asked is because at least one of the five nominees (a script I enjoyed) was rated something like 3.9 at the time I asked, and a different flash tease from September was rated 4.2 at the time I asked but had not been nominated.
I'm not going to suggest a can of worms is opened on this question. It is what it is. I guess I might prefer to see some means of rewarding excellent scripts based on less subjective criteria, but I have neither the time nor an appropriate alternative suggestion.
Suffice it to say, in the time I've been involved in this site, and any sort of TOTM has been organized, I am quite sure there were at least three of four authors who were (or are) my absolute favorites, worthy of recognition, but who never have won TOTM recognition. One of those is the member 1885, who to my way of thinking, brought a unique approach and a higher standard to the flash tease.
My own solution has been to comment to those authors personally, to let them know I appreciate their excellent work. I should add, I also generally participate in the TOTM voting, when I have read through or followed more than a couple of the nominees. I appreciate the time and effort put into the TOTM process by the various volunteers and voters.
The nominee's are picked on the first day of the month as close to 00:01 UTC as I can. 1885 and ruinedoh no longer participate in the TOTM to give others a chance to win. They have both won in the past.

I won the FTOTM for June of this year, elvis. But before that I was definitely with you wondering if it was ever going to happen for me.
I still write teases when I get the inspiration, but I asked Wyatt to leave me out of any future TOTM competitions. I just wanted to win it once so I could be part of the legacy of the competition, now I would rather leave the extra slot open for authors other than myself.
