GuideMe / TeaseMe Mac (support)?

Post by Noah »

I think I have been missing out on a lot of good content (because I am a Mac user). I have seen some scattered posts about how to make it work (GuideMe / TeaseMe), but a lot of it seems to be outdated.

I would appreciate it if someone would help me with the above :)

Thanks in advance, fellow members!

You could try if my Linux version runs for you. You can find it here: https://github.com/guidemeforlinux/
It is a bit outdated, but should play most of the teases. (Look at my post here: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=12944&p=238072#p238072 to get it running. )
I have ported Version 3.4 for me (it runs fine in eclipse), but I didn't get the exported jar running. You can pm me if you want and I will share this version with you.

Alternatively try to port it yourself. It isn't magic. You import GuideMe in eclipse and try to run it. If it throws an exception, then google the exception and try to fix it. If it doesn't throw exceptions anymore you are probably done.

I use Virtual Box for Mac running XP. Seems to work fine but I do have some issues playing videos from within teases.

You might just be missing the codecs required to play the videos.
