I made a short preview/teaser for you guys to enjoy.

Please give me feedback, esp on the beat-indicators.
I'm struggling with this, the generator doesn't run on my system

40 minutes done but still some work to do.

Wow, it looks stunning, but the beets blends with the music a bit too much for my taste.

It is looking really good, I wasn't too sure about the beat guide being off in the corner at first, and was going to suggest moving it more towards the middle, but with the alternating sides sort of changed my mind.

On one hand, having the beats off to the side avoids them obstructing the good stuff, but I found it drew my attention away from the action a little being so far out. Perhaps even alternating sides more consistently could work to balance it up, I felt I was always looking at the bottom left corner for beats. This may not even be an issue in the full version but I thought it might be helpful

I did like the interactivity of the beats though, to really help you see the timings.

Whatever happens, I think you have the makings of a great video. Cant wait to see the finished product

I like the girls and the music, but I'm not sure about the beatmeter.

I would prefer if it didn't draw your attention to it (by flashing or changing) unless the beat was changing. So the 1-2 and then later 3-4 takes my attention away from the action at times when it doesn't really need to. Over a longer video I suspect it would also make me miss beat changes.

Thank you for your input. I was not quite sure whether the viewer understands what 1-2 3456 etc. means, so I experimented with adding effect to show it.

I found it somehow distracting when I tested - but I know the beats.

Maybe I'll try to move the indicator towards the middle and play with opacity/visibility.

I agree it's too distracting. I want to watch the girls but my vision snaps to the meter every time it changes... changing color or position all the time and it's hard to ignore

Ok so here's my feedback based on my own opinion but also on the experience I got so far as a CH creator.

Your beats need to be clearly audible, especially if you don't have a beat meter. I'm not even sure if you added any beats yourself. If you did, they're much too low for me, if you didn't - just music is not enough. For example, starting at 1:21 it's supposed to be 1-2-3456, but personally hear 1-23-45 (one beat missing and different pattern). It should be clear enough that you hear it once and you get it instantly. It's not supposed to be so that beats blend into the music and you can't tell whether they're part of it or not. Make them stand out. There are other things to be focused on than getting the beats right.

Also at 1:21 - I'd avoid showing part of the beat. Show it all at once. All I want personally is having to stare at the text at the bottom.

Keep the beats patterns "naming" consistent: at 0:42 the "normal" pattern is 1-2-3-4, then at 0:52 it's 1-1-1-1-1(1-1-1.. come on, am I supposed to be looking at text the whole time..?), then at 1:52 it's 1-2. All the same beat.

Don't flash/animate/move/change the beat pattern text if the pattern doesn't change. Do either of the following:
- Show/animate it in when it changes and keep it up the whole time without touching it at all. Of course when the beat pattern changes you'll need some kind of indication - possibly an arrow that appears for 1-2 seconds.
- Show the first few cycles and then hide it and don't re-show it if no new pattern is introduced.
This was the biggest problem I had with the video - I basically spent most of my time looking at text moving left and right with no new information. I can see you've put a lot of work into it, but it causes more harm than good. Keep it simple.

Having said that however, if you want to do something more with the text, I think it might be a good idea to change color/add a non-distracting subltle effect to the portion of text when the beat comes. Something close to what you did at 1:39 but change each portion separated by dashes "-" based on the tempo. In that case that would be:
- first "1" color A, rest color B
- second "1" color A, rest color B
- last 3456 color A, rest color B
all done according to the beat. To me that would be a great improvement and something that could maybe become "the standard" in videos that don't have a beat meter. One cycle and you pretty much get the beat pattern.

If you want to highlight portion of the beat pattern, avoid using very similar colors like white and light yellow (1:39). 1:45 is probably okay.

Avoid frequent changes in beat pattern. Things like the break 1:47 are probably too quick. If new pattern (or break) comes, keep it for a minimum 15-20s, not less.

Same goes for changing the video too quickly. I was doing the same in my previous videos and from the feedback I got (which now I agree with) changing it too often isn't really enjoyable - doesn't let you "enjoy" the content enough. It looks good if it was supposed to be a promo video / trailer/ video clip and that's why it's tempting to do so when editing the main material, but it makes the whole experience worse. If you still want to go for it, the furthest I'd go personally would be to maybe change them more frequently at the start of some rounds to introduce all girls (0:52 looked good) or give you the "taste" of what the round will be like.

Other than the quick changes, I liked the editing of the video material.

Scene changes and beats matched the music really well which is a good sign. Many people get it wrong and that's what disqualifies the video in my eyes. Nice job.

The part where you're supposed to come - personally I prefer it with the beats (not freestyle). I like it when the beats tempo ramps up towards the end forcing you to release. It also naturally tells you that you're getting close to the end (now I had to look how much I have left, there was no countdown on the video). This might be my personal preference though.


Overall: The only real problem I've had with the video was too much tinkering with the text. You seem to have overdid it - keep it simple, it's the video that's most important and everything else should not be distracting. Minimize the time required to look at the text. Other than that - I liked the style and "flow" of the video. Good sync of music and scene changes. No visible editing errors.

Can't wait to see the full release :)

Great, thank you for the response. I did not add any external beats yet. This is something I will do once the editing is done.
Personally, I like it when the rounds are not too predictable and you're watching a steady "flow" of girls, but there will also be rounds with a slower rhythm.

pl3b brought up some great points. Here's my opinion: You have an excellent sense of style. The editing is tight and I'm kept engaged in the material. A lot of the Cock Hero's out there have two or three scenes per round and they're just boring and uncreative. I was initially going to criticize the beat indications, but the color and liveliness of it actually worked once my vision and focus adjusted. It's less distracting than a physical beat meter taking up the entire bottom of the screen, that's for sure.

Here's the thing. Cock Hero's are your creative expression, and you have something that's wonderfully unique. You do you, man. Combined with your impressive video editing skills, this is definitely a release I'm looking forward to.

Lastly, there's gotta be an audible beat. I know you addressed it before, but it will be what makes the minimal beat indicators really sink in. I'm excited for the final version of this.

Ooh, I had to watch that a couple of times, and next time will be 'properly'

pl3b's probably covered it all and in far more depth than I could.

I didn't find the visual indicator too distracting as such, but perhaps a consistent place to look is likely to be less distracting than swapping, unless it's sitting to one side of other for a reason/reasonable duration - eg hand swap. As a general CH point, very occasionally a little of the 'action' can be near image bottom, so I'm not sure dead centre is always the best place, depending on text size..there's probably not many CH videos where I've found the central beat info occluding stuff, but enough to remember it.

I was a little puzzled by the beat prompts, particularly with the intended difference in a few cases but maybe that becomes more obvious with the audio beat added. OTOH there are occasions when one might want to watch with the sound down

As someone with rather more metallic music preferences, music was fine without being too distracting (on some CH's it's verging on annoying - another sound-off occasion), and I really liked the selection of girls with a few - well, probably most - I didn't recognise :) (Any chance of listing them in the final version ?).
Oh, one point, as mentioned elsewhere - fast, per beat video swaps are okish (IMO) when during more of a tease/interlude, but as a personal preference maybe longer to take it all in, and especially not so fast when in the action sections - there's several CH videos which go overboard with fast swaps (and/or stupidly fast beat sections).

I'm really looking forward to the final version :)

Thank you for your kind words. I added (visually) different beat-indicators to the preview to get a hint on what people prefer.

Personally, I like it when the b.i. is on the bottom left or right side - but you often have a production-logo there.

I'll try to find a solution that fits the middle of the screen. I also found a plug-in which claims to automatically detect beats and make visualizations - but its not cheap and doesn't seem to be compatible with my system. So the struggle continues...

I'll provide you guys with a list of the girls - as far as I know their names. I use footage from lots of sources and some of the girls I simply don't know. We'll see.

With the fast editing: I like faster the parts, but since work is still in progress, I will try to keep your feedback in mind.
