Syncydink - Toy Sync'd Web Movie Player for Win/Mac/Linux/Android/ChromeOS

Syncydink is a Web Based movie player that can play any movie your web browser can (mp4/vp8-9/etc), capable of playing:

- 2D Movies in all browsers
- VR Movies (180SBS) using WebVR in Firefox 55+ on Windows, and Chrome on Android 6+.

Syncydink accepts toy command files in the following formats:

- Funscript Format (json format)
- Feelme Format (json format)
- VirtualRealPlayer Format (ini format)
- (Vorze CSV file support coming soon)

Syncydink supports connecting to the Buttplug Websocket Server, but ALSO supports WebBluetooth in google chrome! This means if you're using Syncydink with Google Chrome on a supported platform, you don't need to download anything else. The webpage can actually talk to bluetooth. This means you can use Syncydink with:

- XBox Gamepads, Fleshlight Launch, Lovense, WeVibe, Vibratissimo, and Magic Motion toys on Windows using Buttplug Websocket Server (There's no WebBluetooth on windows yet so it requires the Websocket Server)
- Lovense toys and WeVibe toys on Mac, Linux, Android (6 or later), and ChromeOS on Google Chrome
- Fleshlight Launch on Mac/Android (Linux doesn't seem to work due to either a chrome or bluez bug (only tested on Debian Stretch, if someone wants to try on ubuntu or something please let me know results), ChromeOS may work but is untested) on Google Chrome

On android, you may need another file explorer app in order to choose the movie/haptics files. I use the free version of AndExplorer, but there may be others that are usable too.

Syncydink and ScriptPlayer

If you're already using ScriptPlayer on windows, there's not much reason to use Syncydink there. ScriptPlayer has more features and more dedicated development than Syncydink at the moment ('cause I'm split between way too many projects as is :) ), I'm mostly just trying to fill in functionality on non-windows platforms.

Also, due to the fact that we're using bleeding-edge web tech, you may find that toys skip commands a bit more often on Syncydink than they do in Scriptplayer. We're trying to work these issues out now.

Syncydink hasn't been advertised for use much yet, and hasn't gotten a ton of testing, so there will definitely be usability issues and bugs. Feel free to leave comments and questions here and I'll try to get to them as I can. :)

For any developers interested in what this looks like on the inside (tl;dr: vue.js + video.js + aframe + typescript + buttplug-js), the full player it up on github at

Looks quite impressive. I don't know if you have seen my recent editor for beatmeteres, but it might work very well to create beattracks for your player. It exports a simple json format with timestamps, but I would also be willing to modify it or add additional features that might be interessting for you.

Yeah, your beat meter project is awesome! To give you an idea about our architecture, we have a separate format loader library that we build all of our parsers into, just in case other people need to use these formats too:

https://github.com/metafetish/haptic-movie-file-reader

I've file an issue to get support for your file format implemented in that (https://github.com/metafetish/haptic-mo ... /issues/16), then we can start looking at bringing it into Syncydink. I'm still trying to figure out how to make scrolling canvas generation based on movie play times work, but once that's done we should be able to generate beat meters with your format on the fly in webpages. :D

For those interested, we now have a Discord server for Buttplug and syncydink support (and we can at least try to answer questions about ScriptPlayer :) ), haptic movie scripting, etc...
