nice idea...i might try this myself some dayCH0013 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 02, 2017 2:32 am
I've recently made a challenge for myself out of Canto - 1. Which is to play it without fail and after completing each round for the first time; skip to the epilogue and follow those instructions before moving on as if I had released. So, without release; I did round 1; waited a day, did round 1 & 2, waited 3 torturous days, did 1-3, waited another 3 days of torment, did 1-4, and today I did the first day of training. I think this will be good training/preparation for the second installment, but I'm not even half way done, and at it's been 8 days.

Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] - Inferno (Canto II)
Hey all thanks again for continued interest and support. It's coming SOON! I figured since you've all been so supportive and patient, you deserve an update.
So without further ado - I have some really good news and some not so really good news.
The bottom line for the good news is - Raga has completed all 6 reels with all updates/edits etc. 2 of them need a couple of spots to change and/or dialogue to reposition. All totaled we're talking a couple hours worth of work on them in total (not counting time to render the video). Once again - out of 6 reels containing all of the footage for the production, there are just a couple minor tweaks that can be done in his sleep.
The other side of the coin - most of the beats and meter are done by BareBones. 1 reel had an error with one of the patterns in one song, and another one needs to be update/changed on one song because edits forced the scene to be a little longer, so the beats need to edited to accommodate the new timeframe.
Which leads me to the not-so-really good - which is to say that I have not heard from BB for 2 weeks. Last he spoke he said he was really busy with work and will work on this when he can squeeze the time in. As quickly as he has been able to hammer out the beats on a song, I'd say he would need just one afternoon 4-6 hours of time to put the corrections in and attach all the beats that he's done to the final reels that Raga has produced. Once that's done, Raga can then put it all together and add the timestamps in the corner to direct people to the correct epilogue - which we won't know until we can put it all together.
At this point it looks like total time of the video will be 1hr 52mins. That includes the prologue intro of the rules, all of the post play epilogues, and the cut-scenes between rounds. About 90 mins is actual gameplay!!! Some of which is not necessarily ever seen based on in-game choices which may make the run-time anywhere from 50-70 mins of rocking fun!!!
So - as soon as we know BB is available, he can download the finished reels and finalize his beats and make the two corrections and get them back over to Raga for final timestamps and rendering. I'm not worried about BB flaking at this point - I know he's been busy with work and I am not holding that against him at all.

Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] - Inferno (Canto II)
It's been fun; I recommend it.
I just "got rescued" from Charon for the second time, which brings me to 375VP saved up for the next installment. I also "found" and kept the "Amulet of Sustenance" and "learned" "Psychic divorce". Debating what to do now... There is still the bonus round... I could do that without release and bring myself to an even 400VP, I could ignore it and do something else, I could release there but I don't really want to (the "virgin" girl kinda turns me off, and I'm already at 3 weeks), or I could do nothing at all like dirkdedlift. I do wonder if he; is still holding in there, has given up, or has gone totally insane. The science he is accomplishing really deserves a medal; he should publish his findings when the experiment concludes.
I'm also unsure how I'm going to do the next one. Meaning play it normally, or do the same thing I just did. I'm interested in suggestions/opinions. I'll probably start with the non-release bonus round. But after that, I might be too horny to think about it..

Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] - Inferno (Canto II)
I usually play Cock Heros normally, even if they have a scenario or specific rules.
The only ones I follow are edging and physical queues like rubbing balls and such, anything else is superficial and just there to make their project more unique and get more attention.
All I care about is the product itself, the porn, the audio quality, the beats done right, and the sensations I get while playing.
Given those criterias Blue Angel was my favorite, with the repeated edging making me go wild, even if it could be done much better, as the visuals weren't really exciting.

Maybe it would be a good idea to place a hard cap on the amount of VPs you can start Canto II with? Someone could accumulate a lot of VPs by failing rounds over and over again, enter canto II with a ton of VPs and breeze through it.Tittyluvr1334 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2017 5:30 am BIG ANNOUNCEMENT (though not the one I know many of you are looking for...)
1) For those actually playing EGURS with Inferno, each run through Canto I is it's own "save game" meaning if you watched it 5 times, you don't start Canto II with 700 points! That would totally cheapen the challenge of future Cantos.
HOWEVER _ if you did manage to successfully complete Canto I the first play through (meaning you never had to be directed to an epilogue), then you gain a bonus of 50 VPs to start Canto II.
(The reason for this is that some Epilogues force you to re-watch a scene a few times, and you gain additional VPs by doing so. This bonus of 50 VPs helps balance things for those who never had to do that.
2) If you are 3 days since your last release (but less than 5), before starting Canto II, you gain a bonus 10 VPs. If it has been 5 days (but less than 10), you gain 20. If it has been 10 days (or more), you gain a bonus of 50VPs to start Canto II; and a big Good Luck to those.

I think that this was a case of bending/changing the rules. Only the first run counts, and you can only choose one path that way.

Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] - Inferno (Canto II)
On one hand, it was originally theorized that VPs are awarded the first time you beat a round (only). Some of the epilogues force you to do more training which can award you further VP, but essentially the school of thought was if you go through more than once you don't add more VP but take the higher of the amounts you earned from each pass through to carry over.
For instance if you earn 100 the first time you play, then you play again starting at 0, but get a little further and earn 110, you'll have 110 to go into Canto II (assuming you did successfully get across the river). Later you decide to play Canto I again (just for fun), starting with 0 VP; and you decide you need to use one of the abilities to help you win so you finish with only 80 that go-around. However, you , you still have 110 as your highest award, so you keep that to go to Canto II.
Each time you then play Canto II, you'd start with 110. Unless you go back to Canto I, and manage to finish with > 110.
On the other hand, the other school of thought was Raga nor I wished to really micro manage this, police this, or even dictate to others how they wish to have fun. Most importantly, we certainly wouldn't want to discourage folks from wanting to play through these multiple times and enjoying the productions we worked so hard at creating. If accumulating a bunch of point is important to someone, by all means knock yourself out and enjoy Canto I as much as you want. We're very proud of it, and we want it to be as beloved by others as much as we love it.
That all being said - if you're wanting to do it competitively (like Revolution kinda did) and keep everyone fairly on the same playing field and truly play to the strictest spirit of the rules, then I say my first school of thought should adopted. But in the end, we're all about individual fun and pleasure - whatever makes you feel good do it! School of thought 1, school of thought 2, playing with no points, skipping the cut-scenes, avoiding the epilogues, whatever. I just hope enjoyment is had. That's what matters. The game is there as a built in challenge within the cock hero challenge that we know not everyone is into. And that's fine.
What I can't relate to or understand is how that bonus round girl (Nancey) can't turn you on! She's fkn gorgeous super delicious. So I guess that just proves my point that not everyone's fun and pleasure is congruent. Not judging of course - just can't wrap my head around it! LOL
