Its the opposite approach of looking for music to match your visuals but the end result is the same. Plus by doing music first you can better organize when you want scenes or shots to change.Alex69 wrote: I have a last question, tho.
Do you think that it is possible to start a Cock Hero project with the music tracks as a base? I'm almost sure this question has been discussed on this forum more than one time. Someone on other thread said music is half of the experience on a CH video production. And I have listened lately a lot of tracks that would make a great CH soundtrack.
Id argue that starting with the music is easier. A good song inspires me with mental images and could generate creative juices in putting a scene together.

However lol... I have fallen victim to a mental block of sorts doing just this.
I always start with a song. Definitely the easier way to go without a doubt. It has come with a set back on a few occasions though. I'll be flicking through some new songs on Youtube/SoundCloud, trying to find some stuff for CH, when suddenly, I hear a song and immediately love it! I'll also get an instant idea of the EXACT kind of material that I would use for that round.... Then.... I can't find any material that I want or is decent enough to where I will be happy with the outcome. I've honestly scrapped around about 10 songs that would have been great, but I simply couldn't find the footage to match the mental image that I had. And let me tell you.... It sucks!! HARD! and not the good kind of sucking either lol.

I'm glad you're still around HopzzzHopzzz wrote:any progress updates on the new video?
I'm at a stage now where I'm gathering material for the later rounds (bookmarking pages so I can revisit them, stockpiling videos and songs, etc). I have 7 days off of work from Sunday so I'm to try spend a good few of those working on this. I have nothing planned besides the second weekend where I will be away for a day and a half so I should be able to crack on a bit.
I've redone rounds 1 2 & 3 so many times at this point that can't wait to get on to the rest. I am almost at a point where I can begin cutting and building round 4. Songs are chosen, I just need to gather the some more source material and It'll be smooth sailing. Once round 4 is out of the way I'll be onto hardcore rounds which "should" be significantly easier to plough ( ) through. I've had some real difficulty with this 4th round lol, a severe case of writers block I think.

And last but definitely not least:
I'm not quite sure what you mean?mowlboon wrote:I know it's probably a lot of work...
But make a hardmode version of it like island? :D
Do you mean make a second version of the video I am currently making that is more difficult?
~or~
Do you mean make a video like the Island ones, but harder?
Either way it would be a lot of work, more 'time' than work though. Making a video harder is a tricky one. Like it was discussed in another thread, difficulty is a very subjective thing when it comes to these videos. One man's trash is another man's treasure and all that. Personally, I could go through the whole video I am making and add in extra beats here and there to make the "physical" difficulty greater, but that won't necessarily make the "mental" difficulty any higher. Saying a CH video is difficult is a very ambiguous statement to make. So if making each round simply have more beats, that's not really all that difficult tbh. It would just involve adding the beats onto the original to increase the quantity of them, then render a new beat meter to match. Really though, I'm not a fan of the "machine-gun-pump-it-till-it's-sore" kinda CH videos tbh and I'd much rather focus on getting the first full version out before considering doing a Hard-mode version
