Yep that's normal. It's caused by the ring sliding around slightly and causing irritation to the skin. It usually goes away on it's own after awhile but there are two methods I've found for fixing it (or at least making the feeling less noticeable).

1) Use some lotion or baby powder on the bottom of your scrotum. This allows the ring to slide easier and has the added benefit of soothing the irritation that's already there.

2) Use a slightly smaller ring. The tighter the ring the less it will chafe, just be careful not to go too tight or you risk cutting off circulation (which is bad).

Ryuzaki wrote:Ok thanks, what would be considered cutting off circulation to the scrotum btw? Like some discoloration like turning from skin color to a purple color or is it when the scrotum gets cold from having something around it etc?
Any skin change in color..especially blue/purple
take off the cage and check yourself!
Safety first!!

that is why you should always have a key on you when testing out a cage...
frankly I keep a key close for emergencies.. always.. even when under someone else's control about being locked up.
When controlled I give a detailed report explaining Why.. I took off the cage.. what I did (cleaning checking..) and how quickly I was able to put it back on.
