No way it's 47%. I could somehow believe it's 47% for young women in western societies, but no chance it's 47% worldwide. There are hundreds of millions of women living in countries were electricity is a luxury, and much more vibrators. There are women living in oppressive societies were you simply don't get sexual toys. There is my grandma. And there is the inevitable percentage of women who simply don't have it even if they could.
It reminds me of the statistics like "the opening ceremony of the Olympics was watched by 4 billion people." Bullshit, that many people don't even have TV. And there are still people sleeping ten time zones away. And in work. And drunk in bars. And in cars travelling. And those who don't give a fuck.


I would also like to see sources on some of the other claims, because some of them sound like random factoids someone made up.

You don't get the point. People from poorer undemocratic countries are not actually counted as humans by the great powers of statistic. Because it's so hard to actually count them it's much easier to just ignore them alltogether

"Worldwide" is probably Europe + USA + Japan. MAYBE Korea, China and Russia. I really doubt that India, Egypt and other "Big" countries are really in there. And I don't know about Russia either.
I imagine this statistic covers half of the world AT BEST.

Well if whoever is the author of that piece of statistics understands the word worldwide as "USA+Europe" then no, I don't get the point.
I know how that number came up. Someone surveyed women in a few countries (my bet USA, Canada, Australia, 5-10 Western European countries and obviously Japan, since they're at top) and made the average of that. It's just that this is not even close to worldwide average. And bad statistics piss me off.

On a related note, did you know that 81.2% of statistics are made on the spot? Also, in a recent survey, scientists found out that 75% people form three quarters of the population (both worldwide and in the whole world). And I have just made a survey myself, and found out that in my country, 100% of people use Milovana. And what's even more interesting, the worldwide average is 100%, too.
