Firefox even checks for update and says there isn't one. So I'm guessing somewhere in options there is a checkbox to test early releases.

I would try opening the image in a new tab - if that fails try using a proxy server to see if it loads.

Images are hosted on amazon servers so it shouldn't be a problem with milo's certificate.
What browser/device is it happening on?

Although the cause looks to be the certificate being issued before 1st June 2016 (public certificate transparency logs date)

The current certificate has only got 1 month and 18 days left on it. So it will more than like be updated soon anyway.

You might find a less known browser might still play them, otherwise you can right click and inspect element to find the audio url
